KU Scholarships Application Form for Fall 2024 Admission | First-year Freshman Scholarships

Eligible freshman students admitted for fall 2024 will be eligible for new scholarships at the amounts shown in the table below:

Note that these new scholarships will be offered to eligible students who are admitted to KU for fall and upward. However, eligible students admitted for spring will receive the scholarship amounts in the spring 2024 intake table, as shown above.

KU Scholarships Application For National Merit Finalists

University of Kansas students who are designated as National Merit Finalists and have chosen KU as their number one college choice with the National Merit Scholarship Corporation will have $1,000 per year added to their KU awards. Note that renewal criteria are the same as other merit-based.

KU Scholarships Application Eligibility

• KU awards scholarships based on a student’s high school GPA. The University of Kansas will use either the weighted or unweighted GPA, whichever benefits the student the most — after that student’s sixth high school semester.
• These scholarships are awarded to freshmen students who enroll in at least 12 credit hours for both the fall and spring semesters immediately following their high school graduation

KU Scholarships Renewal

It may interest you to know that the Ku scholarship awards are renewable. However, to renew the scholarship, the student must meet the following criteria:

1. must maintain a 3.0 KU GPA and be enrolled full-time.
2. Scholarships are given for a student’s first bachelor’s degree or eight semesters of enrollment, whichever comes first.
