What is required to register my new vehicle at Drayden Insurance?
To register a new vehicle, you must come to our office with valid photo identification, your original signed bill of sale (ink signatures required), and valid proof of insurance. If your vehicle is brand new, you will also need an original NVIS (New Vehicle Information Statement) from the dealership. Please ensure that all buyers or desired registrants are present in order for the service to be completed. Individuals who cannot visit the Registry Office may complete the Letter of Authorization (REG0169) form, which can be found in our Printable Forms section. The cost of renewing your registration varies depending on the type of vehicle and the length of registration.
My bill of sale has a Change/alteration to it, is it still acceptable?
All alterations or corrections to a bill of sale must be initialed by both the buyer and seller. Please ensure that any changes you make to your bill of sale are initialed by both parties prior to visiting a Registry Office.
What do I need to renew my registration?

Can I renew my registration for (or without) my partner?
When renewing registration on someone else’s behalf, please bring their old registration and valid insurance with you. Please bring in your original Government Issued Birth Certificate, your original valid Passport, or another form of legal entitlement to correct your name or date of birth on Alberta Health Care (e.g. work permit, study permit, permanent residency card, etc).

How do we apply for a marriage license?
To obtain a marriage license, you and your partner must come in person with valid photo identification. You can complete the Marriage Licence form in our Printable Forms section ahead of time or when you come into our office. If either of you has previously been married, please bring your official divorce certificate as well. Please keep in mind that we can only issue marriage licenses for weddings taking place in Alberta within the next three months.
How do I order a Birth certificate or Marriage certificate?
To obtain an Alberta marriage or birth certificate, please come in person with valid photo identification. You must fill out the Government Request form on the Service Alberta website. This form can be completed ahead of time or when you come into the office. You can visit our online services page to request a birth certificate for a child under the age of one.
